On December 1, 2024, on the occasion of the commemoration of the birth anniversary of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, Thailand’s National Day (December 5, 1927 – December 5, 2024), and Father’s Day in Thailand, the Thai Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, in collaboration with the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam, the Vietnam Red Cross Society, the Red Journey Program, and the Vietnam Youth Union, co-organized the event “Good Deeds from the Heart” at the Thai Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City.
Ms. Wiraka Moodhitaporn, the Royal Thai Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, along with guest representatives from businesses and program sponsors, attended the event.

The event was also part of the second iteration of the charitable program “Good Deeds from the Heart” in 2024, commemorating the birth anniversary of King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great.

Organized by the Royal Thai Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, the activity aimed to create opportunities for the Thai community in the city and neighboring provinces within the consular jurisdiction, alongside the people of Vietnam, to engage in “good deeds,” offering merits in honor of a significant occasion. It was also an opportunity to express gratitude to Vietnam, a country where the Thai community has chosen to live and work, building stable and prosperous lives.

Participants at the event donated blood as part of the program.
As a token of appreciation, gifts were presented to those who participated in the “Humanitarian Blood Donation” activity.

This activity not only reaffirms the strong relationship between Thailand and Vietnam at the government level but also serves as a profound expression of solidarity between the two nations. It resonates within the business community and among citizens, fostering a spirit of mutual support and generosity.

Moreover, the program plays a crucial role in supporting the blood bank of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, enhancing the capacity to supply blood to medical facilities. This, in turn, contributes to healthcare services and the well-being of the community.
