Speaking at the event, Ms. Wiraka Moodhitaporn, the Royal Thai Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, stated that this program brings benefits to society, the community, and the nation by providing an opportunity for the Thai community in Ho Chi Minh City to engage in meaningful and noble acts.
The event was also part of the second iteration of the charitable program “Good Deeds from the Heart” in 2024, commemorating the birth anniversary of King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great.
Organized by the Royal Thai Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, the activity aimed to create opportunities for the Thai community in the city and neighboring provinces within the consular jurisdiction, alongside the people of Vietnam, to engage in “good deeds,” offering merits in honor of a significant occasion. It was also an opportunity to express gratitude to Vietnam, a country where the Thai community has chosen to live and work, building stable and prosperous lives.
This activity not only reaffirms the strong relationship between Thailand and Vietnam at the government level but also serves as a profound expression of solidarity between the two nations. It resonates within the business community and among citizens, fostering a spirit of mutual support and generosity.
Moreover, the program plays a crucial role in supporting the blood bank of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, enhancing the capacity to supply blood to medical facilities. This, in turn, contributes to healthcare services and the well-being of the community.
